On May 22, 2025, the NSS Wing of Government Degree College Soibugh organized a campus cleanliness drive. This initiative aimed to promote cleanliness and hygiene within the college premises, thereby fostering a sense of responsibility among students and staff. The drive represented a proactive step towards creating a healthier and more sustainable environment.
The cleanliness drive commenced at 10:00 AM, with enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, faculty members, and other students. Volunteers were divided into distinct groups, each assigned specific areas of the campus for cleaning. These areas included classrooms, corridors, the college grounds, and the surrounding areas. The volunteers collected waste, swept the floors, and ensured that all areas were free of litter.
The cleaning activities lasted for approximately two hours. Subsequently, the Principal delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of sanitation. She also honoured the NSS volunteers for their contributions. The staff then took an oath to maintain cleanliness in their homes, localities, and the city. It was a rewarding experience for all participants, and the volunteers expressed their satisfaction in contributing to a cleaner campus.
